How to install an esim (iOS)?
Getting Started
Before setting up your eSIM, make sure you have the following:
- Reliable internet access: It’s best to be connected to Wi-Fi or have a stable mobile data connection.
- An eSIM-compatible device: If you’re unsure whether your device supports eSIM, refer to our guide here: List of compatible devices.
- A network-unlocked device: If you’re not certain whether your device is locked to a specific carrier
These steps will help ensure a smooth eSIM installation process.
- Open Settings on your device, then tap Mobile Data or Cellular Data.
- Select Add eSIM.
- Select Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code you received.
- Select Continue.
- It can take a few minutes to activate.
- Tap Done to finish the installation.
- Configure the settings as suggested: set Default Line to Primary and tap Continue.
- Set Mobile Data to the eSIM name you selected earlier (e.g., Business).
- Return to Settings, tap Mobile Data or Cellular Data, then select the eSIM to verify Data Roaming settings.
Toggle the switch to On to enable Data Roaming.
